ROB RUN server regions and fresh-server times
Kefir’s launch-day post (Nov 4) set the schedule. Every server runs its own 7-day wipe cycle, so a server that opened today is the freshest start you can get.
| Region | Fresh server opens | Same moment in… |
|---|---|---|
| EU | 5 PM UTC daily | 6 PM CET · 12 PM ET · 9 AM PT |
| East US | 8 PM ET daily | 01:00 UTC · 02:00 CET (next day) · 5 PM PT |
- Extra servers open automatically when load demands it, “including outside these scheduled times”.
- No West US, Asia, Oceania or South America region yet — Kefir: “We’ll add more regions when we can.”
- Times above use US Eastern standard time (in force since Nov 2).
Launch-week outages
- Nov 6 (Friday) evening UTC: servers went down repeatedly for several hours; players in the Steam discussions blamed DDoS attacks, and some got only a one-minute warning to stash loot. Many reported losing cash they were carrying when servers restarted. Kefir hasn’t posted about it on Steam.
- Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and South America have no servers yet — players there report 270–300+ ms ping on EU / East US.
Lesson: launder big sums instead of carrying them (bank & laundering).
How big is a server?
The store talks about “5,000 players” in a world, but you don’t see them all at once: players report each Looty Bay instance holds about 20 players with at most 4 cops, and a settlement about 10 ⚠️ (Steam discussions, launch week).
What to check when you can’t connect
- The live count above. Normal numbers = servers are up; your server may be full or restarting.
- The official Discord (discord.gg/robrun) — Kefir posts maintenance and outages there first.
- Steam itself — a Steam-wide outage (steamstat.us) takes the game with it.
- Restart Steam if an update is pending; the game won’t connect on an old version.
- Wrong region? Picking the far region gives high ping and timeouts → how servers, regions and wipes work.
How this page works
The player count is the official Steam API through our own cached endpoint (5-minute refresh), and the announcements are Kefir’s Steam posts. We don’t guess at outages; if the API doesn’t answer, the card says so.
